Weekend Get Away

Jona's annual Public employees conference was a few weeks ago in Midway at the Zermatt Resort. Since I can't pass an oportunitty to have a getaway with my Hubby, I went with him. It was nice to see his co-workers, they really are great people, and It was fun to be able to shop in Park City, enjoy the beautiful resort, enjoy great food and best of all.... The wonderful European Bakery they have up there.. Oh it was delicious!!!!!Here is a pic of the main entrance.. too bad you can't hear the beautiful music they had playing all day long...

Kenna was so good at taking pics but it was hard to make her look at the camera.

One of our good friends is starting his photography business and asked us to be models for him.

I have plenty more pics he took but these are the only two I was able to convert to smaller size to post on our blog.

Halloween

Halloween was great! It has become a family tradition for the family to come over to our house to enjoy Jona's delicious Chili... its becoming famous! I might be a little bias but it is very good!
What I love the most about the family coming over? I love seeing them in their costumes.... Here are some pics of the family.

Pumpkin Carving

We could not approach Halloween without some pumpkin carving... here are the ones we made with my side of the family last week. I must say my dad was very proud of his witch!

Decorating with Me

Being raised outside of Utah, making stuff or baking a cake is something I was not used to doing. I would leave all those details to the stores or bakeries and just go buy them. Now that I have been a Utah resident for over six years I have come to see the difference in culture and I love the fact that many woman bake cakes for their kids, do their own house decorations and in some instances make their own clothes!!!.Of course I am not as crafty as many others, but here is my attempt to start my craftiness.

Halloween Lamps!! Yes, they were so easy to make! also, the little blocks in the back are decorating blocks my sisters and I made for halloween as well.

One of the advantages of being a partner of a cell phone business is getting free Unlimited Everything Internet and Phone services for life. This includes unlimited Internet, Music, Tv, GPS ,etc. I am the kind of person that only likes to talk on the phone.. I mean.. that's what a cell phone is for right??? I am terrible at texting, and if I need the internet I use the computer. I was not a big fan of all those fancy applications in a phone. For this reason this is the phone I have had for the past two years.... my wonderful motorolla.

I have finally given up to technology and now have become the owner of a red blackberry... I think this was the "smartest" I can handle when it comes to smart phones. Hopefully one day I will be able to handle other even "smarter" phones like the palm pre.. but for now.. this will help me get with technology.

so....If you see me throw the phone on the floor and step on it... It's just way too smart for its own good.
